Overrated/underrated pkmn....

Since we all know that Nintendo flashes weak crap everywhere and says "This pkmn is the epic win" about them, I've decided to make a thread on Overrated pkmn.

Alright... where to begin....

(overrated pkmn)

Pikachu.

This little idiot of a pkmn goes around everywhere like it's the best thing in the world. People who don't play pkmn know about Pikachu. Pikachu is on more than half of pkmn merchandise. And yet it's PATHETIC. Yes, there might be a light ball, but Infernape/Garchomp/Salamence/other pkmn that are faster than Pikachu (no, go away Luvdisc. Not strong enough to one-hit KO it) will own Pikachu hard. And when it comes to the good pkmn... Well, you don't see Tyranitar, Blissey, Garchomp, Salamence, Bronzong, Skarmory, Donphan, Rhyperior, Dusknoir, Spiritomb, Gyarados, Milotic, Porygon-Z, Alakazam, Forretress, Starmie, Aerodactyl, Breloom, Dragonite, Metagross, Dugtrio, Electivire, Jolteon, Vaporeon, Espeon, Empoleon, Flygon, Gengar, Gliscor, Heracross, Hippowdon, Infernape, Kingdra, Machamp, Magnezone, Mamoswine, Ninjask, Scizor, Swampert, Tentacruel, Togekiss, Weavile, or Yanmega being flashed everywhere and called strong, do you?

Lucario:

Alright, I've seen forums where tards who go on about Lucario being epic ownage run mad. Seriously, they have problems. Lucario is strong, but seriously owned by an Earthquake from just about everything.

Charizard:

As good a Belly Drum user as it may seen, it's just not called what it really is! Little kids always go "Charizard pwns! Yeah, go Charizard! Own that Kyogre!". Well.... against Kyogre, lol. EPIC FAIL.

And some people mentioned to me that Arceus is overated (tards). Everyone goes on about him but for a very good reason, having the highest combined base stat total in the game, and as long as tyou have Plates and the moves Jugdement (your a $%#@tard if you teach it over for something that you think is good, like Strength) you can give him resistanses (dont forget immunities) and and own your friends Empolion that you have been trying to beat all day with a Zap or Fist Plate!

Actually, Arceus is a little bit overrated (but nowhere near Pikachu...). Arceus isn't an entirely uncounterable pokemon. Though some deem it to be because they've heard it has the highest base stat total. Btw, Arceus isn't even allowed in most tournaments (even sometimes it's banned in ubers tournaments...). The usual Arceus set is a Life Orb pokemon with Swords Dance, Shadow Claw, Extremespeed and Earthquake (Shadow Claw is occasionally replaced with overheat). But this set is stopped by Giratina and Lugia. And well, this set is utilized by about 50% of all competitive battling Arceus. A lot of sets are stopped by Giratina and Lugia. Except walling Arceus sets...
btw, with that Empoleon example you gave, Empoleon is an OU pokemon that is rarely seen in ubers ... Arecus is an UBERS pokemon who is not allowed in OU. Oh and lol, STRENGTH OVER JUDGEMENT! *facepalm* Anyway, Arceus is so very diverse that Arceus is the most unpredictable thing ever (with the possible exception of Gengar). Arceus has 120 in all stats, but has less HP than a Munchlax, less Attack than a Heracross, less Defense than a Shuckle, less Special Attack than a Rayquaza, less Special Defense than a Blissey and less Speed than an Electrode.

And that ends my big boring wall of words...

any nderated pkmn?

Floatzel is. It's frail and all, but it can inflict real heavy damage. It made the cut for BL, but I'm surprised it didn't make OU, like Starmie (the other one who tied for fastest water type) did.

Cradily is too. It's passed up for Blissey and that, but Cradily is a reliable Heatran, Porygon-Z and Special attacking Salamence counter. It's that good (plus I like it!)

I rekon charizard should be about where it is as it is fire/flying so ground moves don't affect it and can learn some awesome moves.(it's one of my favourites)

anyway i think Gyardos is pretty underated as it is strong attack wise and can unleash some awesome moves.

Charizard's overrated ways is declining with the introduction of Lucario, so you are probably right.

No-one overrates Gyarados. Having been the Number 3 pokemon, people really know what to watch out for - and that's Gyarados. Of course it's powerful with it's attack stat. I mean, it's higher than Arceus, which is pretty ridiculous. Gyarados' highest attack stat can get up to 384, I think. That's very high. Also, don't forget Intimidate. Very useful ability.

and because of it's type water/flying it can be very strong as it can learn ice moves
such as blizard which is super effective against grass

Gyarados doesn't normally have to worry about Grass attacks because Flying typing negates Grass weakness. Electric is something it has to watch for.

An over rated pokemon, Let's go with team rockets pokemon, Team rocket originals, Arbok and Weezing:Both lose to a single pikachu, but evolved when cried on, Seviper and cacnea:Seviper was also weak as was cacnea, both taken down by a single pikachu, but they help kidnap something like a legendary pokemon.
