Format - Most Popular Pokemon Competition

Post by Snail on Thu Dec 16, 2010 6:39 am

Every Pokemon is separated into their regional group (for example, Zubat is in Kanto. Scizor is in Johto. Deoxys is in Hoenn. Bronzong is in Sinnoh. Sazandora is in Unova). For Unova Pokemon, I will post pictures of them for those who aren't familiar with the new Black/White Pokemon.
From there, the List Randomizer is used to randomize a list of Pokemon from each region.

Kanto has 16 Groups. 13 Groups contain 10 Pokemon and 3 Groups contain 7 Pokemon. 151 total.

Johto has 10 Groups. All Groups contain 10 Pokemon. 100 total.

Hoenn has 14 Groups. 13 Groups contain 10 Pokemon and 1 Group contains 5 Pokemon. 135 total.

Sinnoh has 11 Groups. 10 Groups contain 10 Pokemon and 1 Group contains 7 Pokemon. 107 total.

Unova has 16 Groups. 14 Groups contain 10 Pokemon and 2 Groups contain 8 Pokemon. 156 total.

Round 2

From Kanto, 74 Pokemon will move on to Round 2.
From Johto, 50 Pokemon will move on to Round 2.
From Hoenn, 67 Pokemon will move on to Round 2.
From Sinnoh, 53 Pokemon will move on to Round 2.
From Unova, 78 Pokemon will move on to Round 2.

Subsequent rounds

The number of Pokemon making it through will be halved, rounding down in the case of odd numbers. In Round 4, the closest power of 2 (rounded down) number of Pokemon will make it through.
For example, from Unova, 39 Pokemon will move on to Round 3. In Round 4, 16 Pokemon will move on from Unova as 16 is the closest power of 2 (rounded down).

When each group has only 4 Pokemon left, all five regions will be grouped together and voted on in two groups of 10. Four Pokemon from each group will make it through to the next round, and this will be halved for all rounds onwards until the Grand Final.

Sorry if this isn't clear. Have fun!
